2006 ABSLTA Workshop Report, Alban Neve

Deaf Club] Luton, Beds, on the weekend of Saturday/Sunday, 29/30 April 2006.
In the afternoon Val Pigg and Jacqueline Swinbourne from the CACDP gave
presentations covering the specifications [a new name for curriculum] of CACDP
Levels 1 and 3, which members found very interesting and informative.
They also explained the new units for the above levels and the procedures for
examinations.
The topics and examination procedures for BSL Level 1 have changed considerably
and members were most grateful to have everything explained so clearly.
Sunday morning and afternoon were given to workshops that covered the different
materials that could be used to teach the new Level 1 units.
A valuable learning experience was had by all and at the end of the day members
requested that more such workshops be held in future.
